The 2.4km long peleshac bridge is a key infrastructure of Croatia and a demonstration project of China in Europe
Peleshac bridge project is the largest transportation infrastructure construction project since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Croatia. The designed total length of the bridge is 2440 meters. After completion, it will cross the little stone bay of the Adriatic Sea and connect the territory of Croatia across the sea. 85% of the project cost is borne by EU funds.
In 2018, the Chinese enterprise consortium led by China Road and Bridge Corporation won the bid and started construction after open competition.
On July 28, 2021, the peleshac sea crossing bridge in Croatia constructed by Chinese enterprises was successfully closed.
